Siurells are the traditional terracotta figures of the island of Mallorca. The name means “whistle”. The origin of this “whistle” is unknown, although the presence of these forms on the island is attributed to the Phoenicians. The “siurells” are totally made by hand, with the traditional colours: white decorated with green and red lines. The most representative shapes of the “siurells” are: the man, the woman, the horse, the devil and the cockerel.

Tradition, innovation and design are combined, and a proof that the former baskets have adapted to modern times, becoming an indispensable object in our daily lives. We present these baskets with a dose of originality, both regarding colours and shapes, in a renovated version of those old baskets of our island which were used to transport goods, and now become accessories following the trend without losing their roots.
